Lucas Denucci

Lucas DeNucci (Fall 2024- present) graduated from East Lyme High School in 2023 and is currently pursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Lucas gained interest in Dr. Leadbeater’s lab after learning about Dr. Leadbeater’s radio broadcast analysis of the chemistry in the television series Breaking Bad and after an exhilarating lab tour. Lucas is interested in how green chemistry applies to his future profession, including how green methods can be translated to other industries such as renewable energy or pharmaceutical production. Outside the lab, he is an avid reader, enjoys spending time with his two Pomeranian-Huskies, and loves going to the gym.
